Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage for Wellness
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Massage for Wellness
As a certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage practitioner, I use gentle, specialized techniques to support your body's lymphatic system, which helps maintain fluid balance, transport immune cells, and move excess fluid and cellular waste away from tissues.
MLD uses slow, rhythmic, precise movements to encourage lymph flow and support healthy fluid circulation. It may help reduce temporary puffiness and fluid retention, ease feelings of heaviness, and support the body's natural management of swelling and inflammation. By supporting lymphatic circulation, MLD also plays a role in normal immune function and overall fluid balance.
Unlike traditional massage, MLD uses light, specific techniques rather than deep pressure. It is an excellent option for those seeking gentle bodywork to support general wellness, reduce fluid-related puffiness, and promote a sense of lightness and comfort.
Please note: Post-surgical lymphatic drainage and appointments for active edema (swelling) require an Advanced Lymphatic Drainage appointment to ensure your session is tailored to your needs. These concerns require additional assessment and specialized care beyond a general wellness MLD session. Medical clearance may be required depending on your circumstances.
Because this therapy influences fluid balance and the nervous system, some clients notice temporary fatigue, increased urination, or mild detox-like sensations as the body processes change. These responses are generally short-lived and reflect the lymphatic system becoming more active. Sessions are always adjusted to your comfort level and health history to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
