How to Prepare for Your Massage

Avoid heavy meals before your session

Try not to eat a large meal within about two hours of your appointment. A light snack is fine, but a full stomach can make it difficult to fully relax.

Arrive clean and comfortable

Please come freshly showered when possible. This supports hygiene, comfort, and a relaxed therapeutic environment for both you and your therapist.

Communicate openly during your session

Your comfort is a priority. Please share feedback about pressure, room temperature, positioning, or anything that affects your sense of safety or relaxation. Massage should never feel overwhelming. Open communication helps create the best experience for you.

Allow time to rest afterward

If possible, avoid scheduling strenuous activities immediately after your massage. Giving your body time to rest supports integration and prolongs the benefits of your session.

Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water in the hours and days following your massage to support circulation and your body’s natural recovery processes.

Silence your phone

Turning off notifications helps you stay present and get the full restorative benefit of your session.

Listen to your body afterward

Some people feel energized, while others feel deeply relaxed. Both are normal. Gentle movement, stretching, or rest can help your body integrate the work.
